Gone with the Wind

 

I watched Gone with the Wind, a 1939 film, last week, finish it after 2 days. never really thought it wound be sooo long, I think almost 4 hours. but I really love the film. I love rhett butler and I love the hateable scarlett. I never really thought I'd enjoy watching the movie because I am never into classic movies. this is just the second classic movie I've seen, first was breakfast at tiffany's where I began to like Audrey hepburn.

Gone with the Wind is a 1939 American drama-romance-film adapted from Margaret Mitchell's 1936 novel of the same name and directed by Victor Fleming (Fleming replaced George Cukor). The epic film, set in the American South in and around the time of the Civil War, stars Clark Gable, Vivien Leigh, Leslie Howard, and Olivia de Havilland, and tells a story of the Civil War and its aftermath from a white Southern viewpoint.

It received ten Academy Awards, a record that stood for twenty years. In the American Film Institute's inaugural Top 100 American Films of All Time list of 1998, it was ranked number four, although in the 2007 10th Anniversary edition of that list, it was dropped two places, to number six. In June 2008, AFI revealed its 10 top 10 — the best ten films in ten American film genres—after polling over 1,500 persons from the creative community. Gone with the Wind was acknowledged as the fourth best film in the Epic genre. It has sold more tickets in the U.S. than any other film in history, and is considered a prototype of a Hollywood blockbuster. It is also the first film with true to life color. Today, it is considered one of the greatest and most popular films of all time and one of the most enduring symbols of the golden age of Hollywood. I want a Chanel!

I've been dreaming to have my own chanel bag. It's just so beautiful!

Since as of now I couldn't afford one, I am looking for a chanel inspired bag but I am still not going to buy the imitations because I just don't think it's right. But I am considering buying at thrift shops, that is if I could find an original one. Right now, I am looking for a bag that looks like a chanel and I am okay with that. my ysl bag is so worn out already. I badly need a new bag. can anyone help me? My budget is only 2,000 pesos. or if you want you can give/sell me your own chanel bag you're tired of. thanks thanks! :)

windows live writer

I do have a windows live writer installed in my laptop but I've never used it before and now I decided to try it and it's kinda cool! I also installed a new plugin called Polaroid picture and I'm so excited to use it. hehe!

the cat in our surgery class. he may be small but he's quite strong because he was able to survive the operation. this was last semester, haha! I couldn't think of anything to post..haha! :)

i've been spending too much time browsing fashion blogs.
i just can't help it.
i still haven't bought a bag and a shoes, sorry i kept mentioning it.
i am so busy with school stuff, it's finals you know and i haven't done any shopping this month.
actually i'm also broke cause i used up all my money for my plane ticket back home.
i'm supposed to be saving up for a bag and a good pair of shoes but i just can't say no to my friends everytime they'd invite me to go have fun..they might think i'm a KJ (kill joy type) if i say NO..of course i'm not..i love to have fun! but having fun means spending my money. and i don't want to spend too much money this days cause i told you i am saving it up for something important. ;P

anyway, i watched breakfast at tiffany's tonight. audrey hepburn is just so beautiful and funny. i love her already. :)

i think i'm going to stay up studying tonight, for real now. haha.

eraserheads

i've been listening to eraserheads this month and i so regret not going to their concert last march 7 2009. i think that would be their last concert ever..huhu! actually i didn't know the concert would be on march 7 but it was still my fault coz i didn't even bother asking rox when will be their concert. rox and her sister did go and they said it's one of the best concert ever.. whoah!
Ely is just so cute! :)

anyways, we went to aling tonya's last night. we were planning to go on ice skating coz suzy has this coupin cards that'll avail us of a 50% discount but then since we totally enjoyed eating at aling tonya's, we lost track of time. we then decided to go watch watchmen. we thought the movie will be action-packed but unfortunately, it was a bit boring, the film basically concentrated on the history of watchmen. gemma and glenah even slept during the movie..haha! the girl in the movie heartbreak kid was there and i just find her funny every time i remember the heartbreak kid movie. :D

i must be studying right now coz next week will tougher than this week. finals is just so killing me softly.

i just love eraserheads and i just have to say that over and over again.

last night, i was wearing a two layered outfit, i kinda find it cute and cool and comfortable. glenah was wearing a two layered outfit too and it's cute too. i still haven't found a good bag. i have been looking for a chanel inspired bag but i just couldn't find one. of course i couldn't afford an original chanel bag and i have no plans of buying an imitation too. and there are no good finds at ukay store too. so sad. :(

i really do need to study. i haven't done anything today. but i wanted to watch house. i need coffee. i want starbucks. caramel cream yum yum. okay i know caramel cream is not coffee-based..haha! :P we might be going to play wii next week..yahoo!
