DSC00292DSC00291

it was FUN! but right now, I'm really too lazy  to write a long entry so ima just post pictures. weeee!!!

Sept 22 Med Week day 1: me and Suzy did enjoyed the circus-inspired booths outside the med building. balloons and banderitas were everywhere..

we were dismissed early that's why we got to hang out at the booths. we got free dirty ice cream and cotton candies.. yay!!!

B2 with Dr. Dakila.. :)

in the afternoon, we went to see the Photo Exhibit at the med building museum. there were lots of nice photos.. the five physician/specialists who were responsible for the photo exhibit are rich enough to afford super duper cool SLR and high end digital cameras..so just imagine super hi-res photos with vivid colors..love it!

Dr. Dakila is one of the featured photogs..didn't expect that though. Dr. Dakila a.k.a. The Great is our surgery small group king facilitator/consultant. and he's like super duper angas cool, he's going to make you lose your panties mind.

But I like more of Dr. Moral's photos. Dr. Moral is a young, creative, fun doctor and I am so liking him this semester. not the like like.  but the like friend doctor.

September 24

Suz, Glenah, Keith, Brian, Tony and Karl, the 5+1 September Celebrants, treated us to a dinner at Dampa, MOA. Me and Marris (dapitan girls) got a ride with Brian.

pictures at Dampa will follow later.. suz haven't uploaded it yet. but then all you will see at the pictures are evidences of us just pigging out.. I know it's a shame coz we're medical students and we're supposed to know what healthy diet means and it  definitely doesn't mean binge eating of seafood and carbo.

September 25 THE BIG NIGHT: Interbatch Competition

The 2011 class ( Section A+B+C+D) have been preparing for this night! the 40,000 pesos cash prize is  quite a strong motivation to keep us so excited for this competition. They we have been preparing for this weeks ago. and since they we are so talented and the second years even make hamon us, we totally made sure we are so going to win. and of course we won plus a standing ovation. no doubt about that! haha!!!

I overslept that night and I missed the 4th year's performance and  mark agas fernan's stage appearance with the basketball team. awww. I was almost 2 hours late. if gemma hadn't call me, I wouldn't have woke up. but it's okay coz I get to sit behind the judges which mind you are very good seats. I was still able to scream cheer my heart out during our dance+singing+mission impossible number coz the judges are soooo cool and young at heart so they'd understand.

about the 40,000 cash prize, we donated half of it to the Ondoy victims coz we feel useless guilty sad for the victims.

September 26

I didn't know there's a typhoon. I was stuck at the dorm with no electricity, no water, no food..me and my roommate felt like we're in the survivor reality show. we don't know where to find food and we're so hungry and the only solution we could think of is to sleep and pray that tomorrow will be better than tonight. I totally forgot to take a shot of the flood in front of our dorm which is already above the knee but of course that's nothing compared to the ones I saw on TV. sad. *cries*

September 27

my phone's dead and still no electricity. the generator's still not working. it did work at around 3 PM but overheated after an hour. the electricity came back at past 5 PM already and then we watched the news and we saw unbelievable flood and floating cars and submerged city houses and lots of dead bodies too. sad. *cries* I totally can't believe flood could kill. sad. *cries* I felt the need I should do something coz if I want to, I think I could help even though me myself is also broke. but I'm still too lazy to do something and UST is too slow to organize something.

September 28

suz called me late in the afternoon and asked me if I want to come with them coz we are so totally going to do something to help and ...........

TO BE CONTINUED

I've been in front of the computer for almost 4 hours already. I need to take a bath, eat, read, and do other stuffs. classes are canceled until Wednesday and reading assignments are piling up on me.

long weekend

September 19, 2009 - Saturday

Aunt Nurcia and her cute little kids who are my favorite second cousins are spending their Ramadhan vacation here in Manila. I really really want to see my second cousins, I miss them so bad! So she asked me to meet with them at MOA. yay!!!

since I woke up late, I decided to go to MOA at around 4pm. I took the LRT1 ride. MOA was on a 3-day sale that day. It was crazy!!! there were lots and lots of people everywhere. just seeing them gave me headaches. I'm not really fond of crowded places.

I looked for Aunt Nurcia and the kids and found them falling in line for the Carousel. I was soooo happy to see the kids. they are still so cute as always. I hugged them, kissed them, squeeze them, pinched them and did everything to them until they realized how much I missed them.

JR, King, Rajan are like my brothers. I so love them! Aren't they adorable?

I spent the whole afternoon and evening with them. I badly miss home and my family!!! :'(

September 20, 2009 - Sunday

Happy Eid'l Fitr!!! :) (a.k.a. Feast of the End of Ramadhan)

I prayed at Quirino Grandstand at Luneta. I've always prayed there since I studied here in manila but inshaAllah I'll try other venues next year. :) then I met up with rox who also prayed there with the AMS. I then ate breakfast with them after the prayer.

deymn u eyebags! anyway, the prayer and the breakfast was fun, I love Muslims!! but it would have been more fun if I haven't had problem with my plane ticket. grrr..

September 21, 2009 - Monday

Me, Rox, Candy and Zandra went to the 4th International Ramadhan Fair at QC. it's my first ever IRF and I'm a bit excited because it's all about Moro Culinary and I totally miss home cooked Maranao food!! But then it turned out they changed the program coz we ended up eating McDonald's Food but at least we got it for free. Thanks to the YMPN people who have been very very nice to us.

they even introduced us to Toni Leviste, first Filipina Olympian equestrienne.

Rox is one lucky girl!!! Atom Araullo asked her, the president of the UP Manila-Assoc of Muslim Students, for an interview to be aired at TV Patrol.

We then get to pose with him too! :) sorry girls, he's taken.

We went home early. and then when I got to the dorm I hoped time would just stop coz the long weekend have been so fun and I don't want it to end. if time doesn't stop, I'll then be back to the real world which is lectures, books, exams, et cetera. BUT no matter how much I hope it would, it didn't stop...

and now I'm back to the reality I hate to love.
